The aseptic packaging bag is a composite flexible packaging bag with a filling port, and is one of the main containers for aseptic packaging of liquid food. Aseptic packaging bags are widely used in the packaging of ketchup, fruit juice, and slurry products; they can also be used in the packaging of sterilized milk, fresh milk, etc.

 

For aseptic packaging bags, the oxygen barrier performance of packaging materials is a very important property. It needs to have high barrier performance to prevent the intrusion of oxygen and cause food oxidative deterioration. Aseptic packaging bags are mostly made of composite packaging materials lined with aluminum foil. The aluminum foil layer is the main barrier layer, which can not only effectively prevent the infiltration of oxygen, but also preserve the flavor components of the contents.

 

Aseptic packaging bagsof the same material have different oxygen permeability with different thicknesses. The thickness of the aseptic packaging bag increases, the oxygen permeability decreases, and the oxygen barrier performance is better. Aseptic packaging bags of different materials and thicknesses have great differences in oxygen permeability and oxygen transmission coefficient. Thickness has less effect and material has more effect. For aseptic packaging bags, the oxygen permeability of the aluminum-plastic composite film is much lower than that of the aluminum-plated composite film. The oxygen transmission rate of the aluminum-plastic composite film and the aluminum-plated composite film is much lower than that of the transparent double-layer composite film without aluminum.

 

The manufacturer should choose the appropriate material according to the characteristics of the food contained in the aseptic packaging bag and the applicable standard limits. The oxygen permeability and oxygen transmission coefficient of aseptic packaging bags increase with the increase of temperature, and the oxygen barrier performance decreases. When the temperature increases by 10°C, the oxygen permeability increases by 4% to 6%. The change of relative humidity has basically no effect on the oxygen transmission rate and oxygen transmission coefficient of the aseptic packaging bag. The detection of aseptic packaging bags needs to consider the influence of ambient temperature on the oxygen transmission rate.
